Is the Smood skin scan free?
Yes — it’s completely free with no sign-up. Take a photo, answer a few questions, and get your skin analysis and a personalized routine in about 90 seconds.
How does the skin analysis work?
The scan reads your photo right in your browser to estimate tone, redness, shine, texture and hydration, then combines that with your answers to build your skin profile. Photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded or stored.
Can the skin scan detect acne, rosacea or scarring?
It highlights cosmetic signs linked to breakouts, congestion, redness and texture, and shows what a professional might look at more closely. It is not a medical diagnosis — conditions like rosacea, acne severity and scar types can only be confirmed by a licensed dermatologist.
Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
No. All analysis happens on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or shared, and your images are gone when you close the page.
Can I exclude ingredients that don’t work for me?
Yes. List ingredients to avoid — such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide — and the scan will only recommend products that fit your no-list.
